スーパースタジオで”光を操るファブリック”を標本展示
伝統の技術によってのみ可能だった表現を機械で再現・拡張することに成功した、言わば、“織物の進化”を、その織技術や素材、糸に至るまで細部にわたってじっくり観察していただけるよう、標本をイメージした展示で紹介しました。
展示した織物は、川島織物セルコンが得意とする“光を操る”織物。見る角度や光の当たり方でさまざまに表情を変える織物を、伝統技法を現代の技術で進化させることによって作り出しました。

Evolutionary Specimen of fabrics
This exhibition showcased fabrics that have been successfully replicated and extended using modern machinery, thereby achieving expressions that were once only achievable through traditional techniques.
It can be considered as an “evolution of fabrics” and was presented through a specimen-like display, allowing visitors to carefully examine every detail of the weaving techniques, materials, and threads involved.
